Parklands High School Joins Bright Tribe
Posted on by Bright Tribe
Bright Tribe Trust is pleased to announce that governors at Parklands High School in Speke, Liverpool formally approved to become a Bright Tribe Academy on 28th November 2012.
Bright Tribe will now be working closely with the Department for Education, Liverpool City Council and Parklands senior leadership team to complete the necessary conversion processes to enable the school to become part of the growing Bright Tribe community.
The school and Bright Tribe will now work together to break down barriers by adopting a personal learning pathway for every child – one that takes account of individual needs, aspirations and talents.
In 2008 Parklands High School was at the foot of GCSE league tables, but it has subsequently flourished and achieved improved results ever since. Parklands is currently classed as an improving school and is set to become a sponsored Bright Tribe Academy in 2013
Headteacher Yvonne Sharples said: “The school is on the up and we think this could be an amazing opportunity for Parklands and Speke as a whole.”
Bright Tribe’s Director of Education, Professor David Hopkins added: “Bright Tribe brings a new energy and approach to providing the best education for our students. Our schools will be leaders and partners in their local communities, contributing to social and economic prosperity. We’re looking forward to working with the staff and students at Parklands High School, to enable all the young people to reach their potential.”
