Bright Tribe launches Leadership Development Programme

The Bright Tribe Leadership Development Programme was launched on 25th June, with the first workshop being held at The Whitehaven Academy.

The theme of the workshop was ‘Transforming your leadership’ and it offered staff the opportunity to strengthen and develop their leadership approach, thereby supporting change and accelerating progress across the academy.

The programme has been developed to support staff, as they work on real life issues, to effect the change that will bring about transformation within the academy, and within Bright Tribe as a whole. It has been designed to provide a framework for leadership development which ensures that staff learn both individually and collectively. Staff will then be better prepared to set the organisational tone that will facilitate rapid and sustained improvement for the school.

Feedback from the staff who attended the workshop was extremely positive, with 100% of attendees rating the overall quality of the training as ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’ and comments received including: “The workshop was excellent and presented very well” and “I am excited to get stuck in!”

The Leadership Development Programme is part of a continuous training and development programme for all teaching staff within Bright Tribe, supporting staff to network, learn from best practice and develop their skills and knowledge.
