Award recognition for The Whitehaven Academy Teaching Assistant
Posted on by Bright Tribe
We are delighted that Higher Level Teaching Assistant at The Whitehaven Academy, Mrs Tyson, won the award of ‘Teaching Assistant of the Year’ at the Golden Apple Awards on 3rd October.
The awards are run by the CN Newspaper Group in Cumbria to recognise and celebrate excellence and achievements in education, learning and training in all its forms.
Finalists from across the county were invited to the awards’ dinner at Carlisle Racecourse and the evening included performances by pupils from Cumbrian schools and was hosted by local broadcaster Nell Dunn.
The ‘Teaching Assistant of the Year’ category recognises a teaching assistant who ‘makes an outstanding contribution to the life of a nursery, school or college’ and the academy and Bright Tribe are delighted that Mrs Tyson has been recognised in this way for all her hard work and dedication for the students of The Whitehaven Academy.
