Alde Valley School convert to academy status
Posted on by Bright Tribe
On 6th January Alde Valley School will start the new year as Alde Valley Academy, part of Bright Tribe Trust.
Following a vote by Governors, the school and Bright Tribe have been working together to complete a number of legal processes and are now delighted to announce the successful completion of the conversion process.
The Governing Body considered that joining Bright Tribe was the most effective way for the school to continue on its improvement journey and to provide students with the best learning experience possible. The school will now benefit from being part of a network of schools, including another three in Suffolk, bringing opportunities for the sharing of ideas and best practice to drive up standards.
Emma Laflin, Acting Principal at Alde Valley Academy, commented: “Becoming a Bright Tribe academy will enable us to continue to improve the outcomes for our young people as well as offering them a 21st Century curriculum to equip students for their futures.”
Bright Tribe Senior Education Adviser, Dr Liz Sidwell CBE, said: “I enjoyed my visit to Alde Valley earlier this year and look forward to working with the Principal, students and staff on what I am sure will be an exciting and successful future for the new academy.”
The Governors and staff all look forward to working within Bright Tribe to help pupils ‘learn, grow and prosper!’
