We are delighted to confirm that Werneth Primary School officially converted to academy status on 1st February 2014 and is the second school to join the Bright Tribe family.
Becoming a Bright Tribe Trust academy, Werneth Primary School will benefit from being part of a community of like-minded schools, and with the experience and expertise of an established team of education and business professionals to help the school on its improvement journey.
Jenny Colley, Chair of Governors at the school, commented: “The governors see academy status, backed by a strong sponsor, as a real opportunity to raise standards and provide an even better education for the children of Werneth.”
The school and Bright Tribe will continue to communicate directly with staff and parents to keep them informed of developments to the curriculum and what changes Bright Tribe will bring to the school.
Bright Tribe’s Director of Education, Professor David Hopkins commented: “We are delighted that Werneth Primary School is to join the Bright Tribe family. We have been impressed by the educational values that Werneth embodies and are looking forward to working with the staff and the community to ensure that Werneth provides an outstanding and broad education for all its children.”
