MindFull Mentors Working With Local Secondary School
Posted on by Bright Tribe
Following the successful launch of The Whitehaven Academy’s link with the national charity MindFull, students have been busy volunteering as mentors for the scheme. Over 30 students from all year groups have volunteered and they have been busy researching MindFull’s website and preparing for their training from the charity itself.
The academy’s Head Boy Sam Bayliss, Head Girl Shona Macleod and their deputies Rachel Bass and Tristan Doyle have delivered a presentation on MindFull and its support services for young people to a local secondary school. Students and staff at the local school were very receptive to the idea of working together and moving the whole project forwards.
The academy looks forward to strengthening the link with such a key charity to ensure that vital support is available for students at any time.
