Alde Valley Academy Sixth Form students celebrate exceptional A-level results

Alde Valley Academy Sixth Form students celebrated as they collected their A-level results today. This year’s results saw the number of A* – C grades achieved by students rise from 44% in 2016 to 57% in 2017, continuing the huge progress that the school has made since converting to academy status under Bright Tribe Trust, including outstanding progress achieved in 2016 for GCSE results.
Students celebrating particular success include Alex Paulley who achieved two B grades in Art and Design and History and an A in English Language and Literature and hopes to study English Literature at the University of Liverpool.
Mr Michael Wilson, Principal at Alde Valley Academy commented on the results, “We are delighted to see continued progress at all levels at Alde Valley Academy. These outstanding results continue the transformation since the school converted to academy status, making Alde Valley the school of choice in the local area. This year’s students have worked incredibly hard and we are immensely proud of their individual achievements.”
